This morning while walking back from getting my haircut at one of San Francisco's finest hair boutiques (SuperCuts), I passed the middle school during what was either a music class or band practice. As I got closer, I heard the conductor in a loud, teacherly voice bellow, "1..2..1, 2, 3, 4!" and the band started playing -- you guessed it -- White Rabbit. White Rabbit, by a band called Jefferson Airplane from an album caled Surrealistic Pillow. Middle school kids. Middle school!

I sat on the school steps until the White Rabbit peaked.
